1) Purpose and Scope
This Code of Conduct sets expectations for all participants, including attendees, volunteers, organizers, mentors, judges, media, vendors, and sponsors, to ensure a respectful, safe, and productive event environment.
Applies to:
- All official venues, digital platforms, and communication channels
- All side events endorsed by organizers
- All hours during the event, including overnight hacking
2) Core Values and Expected Behavior
- Respect: Treat everyone with courtesy and kindness. Assume positive intent and engage constructively.
- Inclusivity: Welcome people of all races, castes, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, neurotypes, abilities, and backgrounds.
- Safety: Prioritize the well-being of yourself and others. Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Professionalism: Avoid disruptive, harassing, or intimidating behavior.
- Collaboration: Share knowledge generously. Ask for and offer help.
- Integrity: Submit original work created during the event and credit all collaborators and sources.
- Privacy: Do not share personal information without explicit permission.
- Compliance: Follow applicable laws and all event rules, venue policies, and instructions from organizers.
